The Group for the Study of Interpersonal Development at UTSA serves to understand how societal structures can support the cultivation of character-building, connectedness-promoting, and competency-forming interpersonal relationships.
It is modeled after Robert Selman’s GSID at Harvard University, which focused on the study of interpersonal understanding and its development through pair counseling while Dr. Karcher was a member in the 1990s.
